Gang Affiliation

Many young teens die from gang violence. They risk their lives to join these gangs. How much more killings is it going to take for gang violence to stop. Homeboy Industries is an organization that has helped out many gang members to change their life around and become a successful person in life without violence nor crime. If there only were more oraganizations like Homeboy Industries that prevented gang affiliation crime would lower in the Los Angeles area. If we got to these kids before gang members do to brainwash them on how gang affiliation is a better future for these kids then these kids would have a secure and better future which is what their parents wouyld want. No parent wants their child at risk of death or being injured. When woild it change?

Gang Prevention

Gangs have been the reason why many young teens have ruined their lives. You may blame the gangs for 75% of crimes that occur in the United States. But it mainly affects the Los Angeles area.So instead of judging these criminals they should be helped to not fall into gangs and its violence. Every year the percentage of kids being affiliated with gangs increases. Gang prevention programs are out there and have helped ex-gang members flip their life to succeeding and have prevented kids from affiliating with gangs but it seem to not be enough. I am higly concerned with this issue because my uncle was a victim of gang affiliation he ruined his life and is now in jail, he spent most of his childhood in prison since he was 14. I would not like a gang member approach one of my young siblings and persuade them that gang affiliation will give them security and a great life. Therefore I would like to speak out about this issue.
